Bifurcation and pattern formation in diffusive Klausmeier-Gray-Scott model of water-plant interaction

چکیده

A reaction-diffusion model describing water and plant interaction proposed by Klausmeier is studied. The existence of non-constant steady state solutions shown through bifurcation methods, the large amplitude spatial patterned proved using associated shadow system. It rigorously that non-homogeneous vegetation states exist when rainfall at a lower level in which homogeneous cannot survive. Even very low, slow diffusion fast can support with concentrating on small area. This provides an example diffusion-induced persistence may system there are no positive constant states.

Pattern formation in the 1 { D Gray { Scott model

In this work, we analyze a pair of one-dimensional coupled reaction-diiusion equations known as the Gray{Scott model, in which self-replicating patterns have been observed. We focus on stationary and traveling patterns, and begin by deriving the asymptotic scaling of the parameters and variables necessary for the analysis of these patterns. Single{pulse and multiple{pulse stationary waves are s...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Rise and Fall of Periodic Patterns for a Generalized Klausmeier-Gray-Scott Model

In this paper we introduce a conceptual model for vegetation patterns that generalizes the Klausmeier model for semi-arid ecosystems on a sloped terrain [23]. Our model not only incorporates downhill flow, but also linear or nonlinear diffusion for the water component. To relate the model to observations and simulations in ecology, we first consider the onset of pattern formation through a Turi...

Spatially Periodic Multipulse Patterns in a Generalized Klausmeier-Gray-Scott Model

Semi-arid ecosystems form the stage for a plethora of vegetation patterns; a feature that has been captured in terms of mathematical models since the beginning of this millennium. To study these patterns, we use a reaction-advection-diffusion model that describes the interaction of vegetation and water supply on gentle slopes. As water diffuses much faster than vegetation, this model operates o...
